Oxygen Content Fusion version 7.0 enhances the project
support by introducing a personal authoring workspace where you can make
changes across multiple files and once you are happy with the results, you can commit them
directly to the repository to share them with your team. The dedicated Changes side-view
enables you to preview and adjust changes before committing. An XML-aware conflict
resolution tool helps you pull changes from the repository, detects conflicts, suggests
automated solutions, and also allows merging content manually for more complex scenarios.
Along with the powerful editing features for XML documents, the built-in Web Author allows
you to edit Markdown files inside the authoring workspace providing syntax preview and
toolbar actions to insert common structures.
The workspace feature includes a
Publications side-view for easy browsing of a publication's DITA map.
Users can open the map in a specialized DITA map editor to modify the structure using
toolbar or contextual menu actions. The intuitive interface supports drag and drop,
copy/paste, and various other actions for organizing topics. The editor also supports
advanced DITA features such as profiling attributes, key definitions, and map
references.
Continuous Deployment for the output is now possible as version 7.0
adds support for publishing connectors to enable uploading output to
various platforms such as Amazon S3, Netlify, or servers with SFTP protocol. The output can
be configured to include an "Edit Online" link in each topic that sends authors to their
personal workspace where they can make changes to the source of that topic. When used in
conjunction with automated builds, these changes will be live as soon as the build
finishes.
Authoring Workspace
A personal authoring workspace feature has been introduced, allowing users to
make changes across multiple files within a project and then commit them to the project's
default branch. Since a workspace is lightweight, users can start editing
immediately, without having to wait for an entire repository to be cloned.
File Management
File management has been improved, as users can now organize files inside
folders and create new files based on a set of configurable templates, helping to maintain
a well-structured project environment.
Commit Multiple Files at Once
You can make changes to multiple files and commit them together at once. This makes
the process of modifying content within a project similarly to using a local Git client.
For example, you could create a topic and link it in the DITA map (thus making
modifications to multiple files) and commit the changes on a single commit.
Preview Changes Before Committing
It is now possible to preview your workspace changes prior to committing using
a dedicated Changes view. You can also use this view to discard any particular
modifications that you do not want to keep, or to start from scratch.
Easily Browse Map Content in a Publications Side-View
When you start editing in your workspace, the new Publications
side-view allows you to select a publication and use its structure to browse topics
referenced in the underlying map. The selected publication is also used to resolve DITA
key references when a topic is opened.
XML-aware Conflict Resolution Tool
An XML-aware conflict resolution tool is available to enable pulling changes
from the upstream repository into your personal workspace. This tool is designed to detect
conflicts, suggest automated merging solutions that keep the XML documents well-formed,
and it also provides the flexibility to merge content manually in more complex scenarios.
DITA Map Tree Structure Editor
The introduction of a DITA Map Tree Structure Editor allows you to easily create
and organize a publication. When editing within your workspace, the
Publications side-view has an Open in editor button that
can be used to open the map this new editor.
Easily Organize Topics Inside a DITA Map
You can now effortlessly rearrange the order of topics within a publication or
structure them into chapters using copy/paste, drag-and-drop, or toolbar actions.
Additionally, you have the option to insert helper DITA elements (e.g.
topichead) to group multiple topics under one heading.
View Profiling Attributes Inline
The Show Profiling Attributes action allows you to view all
profiling attributes inline, allowing you to easily understand the conditions required for
a topic to be included in a publication.
Edit Profiling Attributes
The contextual menu now includes an Edit Profiling Attributes
action that allows you to modify the values of profiling attributes for the current DITA
XML element. You can configure the proposed attribute values using a subject scheme map
referenced in the DITA map, or by exporting them from the Attributes and
Condition Sets preferences page in the Oxygen desktop version (these exported
values can then be used as imposed options in the embedded web-based editor).
Create Variables (Defined as DITA Key Definitions)
You can reuse content in multiple places inside a publication by defining
custom variables (specified as a DITA Key Definition with Keyword) and
reference them inside topics.
Publishing
Publishing Connectors
It is now possible to automatically upload your output to various platforms
such as Amazon S3, Netlify, or servers that support SFTP protocol. The user-friendly
Connectors side-view allows you to specify your preferred connector for
automatically deploying your content, streamlining the process of sharing and distributing
content across multiple platforms.
Generate Links to Edit in Workspace
Your output can be configured to include an "Edit online" link
in each topic. These links open the source document in the Content Fusion workspace where
users can make changes and when using this in conjunction with automated builds and
connectors, changes can be seen live as soon as the build finishes.
Markdown Support
Content Fusion now supports Markdown-related features, making it easier for you
to migrate from Markdown to a structured format such as DITA, or to receive contributions
from developers who prefer using Markdown.
Markdown Editor Inside the Personal Workspace
A specialized Markdown editor is now available within your personal workspace.
This editor has built-in actions to create standard Markdown structures, such as links,
images, sections, and tables.
Markdown Publishing
When you link a Markdown file within a DITA map, it will be included in the
WebHelp and PDF outputs alongside regular DITA topics.
Oxygen Content Fusion version 6.2 continues to
streamline and refine the process of working with review tasks and implements various user
requests for additional features and productivity enhancements.
One big focus for this release was to redesign parts of the interface to prioritize
productivity (for example, navigation controls are now more accessible) and to provide
access to more information to users within the most commonly used pages, pop-up windows, and
other components. The list of review tasks can now be filtered to easily find a particular
task and task management actions are now available directly from the task list. Users also
now have access to an action in the Task Activity stream to see what changes were made to a
particular file.
Content Fusion's visual editor was updated to integrate the latest changes implemented
in Oxygen XML Web Author 26.1.0. Some of the interesting new features added
for the visual editor include the ability for DITA users to easily switch profiling
conditions and choose whether to hide the excluded content or show it as grayed out, and the
Outline pane also now distinguishes nodes filtered by a DITAVAL file. The Unicode support
was improved to better support surrogate characters (e.g. emoji characters) and the text
mode is now available as read-only mode for concurrent editing sessions. When Markdown
content is pasted within DITA, DocBook, TEI, or XHTML documents, it is automatically
converted to the target vocabulary by the smart paste functionality. Additionally, the
Split action now automatically inserts required first child
elements.
If users develop customizations for the Web Author visual editor, the new CSS Inspector
lets them see the styles of the selected element, the process of uploading a framework now
includes validation to keep customized frameworks error-free, a new URL parameter can
control whether content excluded by a DITAVAL filter is shown as grayed out or hidden, and a
new API is available to add a toolbar in a side view.
User Interface
UI Redesigned to Prioritize Productivity
The interface was redesigned to be more compact to allow users see more
information at a glance, thus helping them be more productive. For example, the navigation
rail is now collapsible and the text size/spacing was reduced to obtain views that are
more dense in information.
Improved Navigation
The navigation controls are now located in a more predictable place on the
application header, separated from other buttons. A new header stripe presents the name of
the task or project that is currently opened, making it easier to understand the context
of the page.
Review Tasks
Filter Review Tasks by Name
Users can now filter the list of review tasks by name. Aside from sorting the
tasks list by several criteria, this is another useful tool to help easily find a
particular task.
Manage Tasks Directly from the Tasks List
Tasks in the "Owned by me" tab of the My review tasks page now
have a menu of actions that allow owners to delete a task or mark it as integrated (if
applicable). These actions enable users to clean up their tasks list without having to
open each task individually.
Reviewers on Non-accessed Tasks are Marked as Pending
Reviewers that have been assigned to a review task but have never accessed it
are now marked as "Pending" in the Review Status Summary pop-up. This
information helps task owners to make sure that the reviewers notice that they have an
assignment.
Compare a File with its Latest Version from the Task Activity Stream
Each file presented in the Task Activity stream now has a
"Compare with latest version" action. This allows users to see what changes were made to
the file
after
a specific event (for example, their last modification) without needing
to go through every change.
My Review Tasks List Presents Originating Project
Authors can now view information about the origins of a project in a dedicated
column in the My Review Tasks list. This provides more context rather
than only showing the task title. This new column is sortable thus enabling authors to
have an overview of all tasks that belong to a certain project.
Administration
Delete Users from Administration Page
Administrators now have the ability to delete a user (for example, one that has
left the company) from the Administration page.
Web Author Visual Editor
Oxygen XML Web Author is used as a component to provide the
visual editing in Content Fusion and it was updated to version 26.1.0. Some
of the most important additions to Web Author 26.1.0 are listed below. For all the details,
see What's New in Oxygen XML
Web Author 26.1.0.
Focus on a Deliverable by Only Showing Content That is Not Excluded by a DITAVAL
filter
For content that is excluded by a context DITAVAL filter, you can now easily
choose whether to hide it or show it as grayed out. By hiding the excluded content, you
can preview the document in its final publication form.
Outline Pane Distinguishes Nodes Filtered by DITAVAL
The Outline pane now grays out nodes that are filtered by the current DITAVAL
file that is applied to the document, making it easier to distinguish which nodes are
excluded.
Read-only Text Mode View is Available on Tasks With Concurrent Editing
Enabled
When using the Edit as XML action to enter the Text editing
mode during an active concurrent editing session, the document is set as read-only to
prevent overriding changes made by other collaborators in the current shared editing
session. Previously, the text mode was unavailable during concurrent editing
sessions.
Smart Paste Markdown Content
Markdown content that is pasted within DITA, DocBook, TEI, or XHTML documents
in the visual editor is converted to the target vocabulary, similar to pasting web page
content or MS Word content in those vocabularies.
Emojis Supported in Document Content
You can insert emojis within document content and they are now rendered
properly.
Split Action in Content Completion Automatically Inserts Required Child
Element
When using the Split action within the content completion
feature, if the initial element has a required first child element, it will automatically
be added as an empty child element inside the newly created element so that after
insertion the document stays valid.
Web Author Customization and Integration
CSS Inspector Pane
A new CSS Inspector side-pane was added that lets you see the
styling/formatting that has been applied to the selected element. It makes it easier to
understand what CSS rules were involved in determining the style of an element. You can
open the view by selecting About Element->Inspect Styles from the
contextual menu.
Framework Validation
You can now spot framework configuration problems in the new framework
validation dialog box that appears when you upload the framework. This helps to keep your
customized frameworks problem-free.
Add a Toolbar in a Side View
Two new API methods can be used to add a toolbar in the header of a side view.
The getToolbarDescriptor method defines the structure of the toolbar,
while the getToolbarActionsMap method creates an actions map that
contains the custom actions that will be made available in the toolbar.
Oxygen Content Fusion version 6.1 continues to
streamline and refine the process of working with review tasks and implements various user
requests for additional features and security enhancements.
Improvements to the review task process include the ability to set a due date
for review tasks, task owners have new options to limit the type of
editing that reviewers can do on a task, request a re-review
after the review has been finalized, and the review status for each
reviewer on a task can now be seen from the various pages within a task. Tasks
can be marked as integrated to hide them from the default view, reviewers
have now the ability to create new files or upload files to a task, and
various interface enhancements were implemented to streamline the overall
workflow and offer more in-place information. The main security enhancement provides the
ability to configure Content Fusion to use an OpenID Connect provider for SSO
authentication.
Authentication
Single Sign On Support Using OpenID Connect
Content Fusion can now be configured to use an OpenID Connect
provider (such as Okta or Microsoft Entra ID) to allow
users to authenticate using the organization's Single Sign On system. If users have an
existing Content Fusion account (created via LDAP or sign up) using the same email address
as the one obtained via OpenID Connect, then they will be able to use the OpenID
Connect to login to their existing account.
Review Tasks
Due Date for Review Tasks
You can now manage deadlines by setting a Due Date when
creating a review task. The due date can be modified if needed and is visible in various
places in the user interface. The reviewers will receive email notifications to remind
them that they need to finalize their review in time.
Comment-only Reviewers Edit Mode
When sharing a task with reviewers, you can control if they have full edit
access, or more limited access to add comments and suggest changes, or to only allow the
reviewers to add comments. The new Comment only option that is available in the
Reviewers edit mode section of the Task Settings page
allows task owners to limit the reviewers to only have the ability to add comments on
content (without changing it), ensuring that the document content is always seen in its
original form by all reviewers.
Option to Request Re-review
Task owners now have the option to request re-review of the
task from all the reviewers. They can request a new review of the task when they re-open
the task or by using the Request re-review button that appears in the
pop-up window when clicking the Finalized drop-down widget that is
displayed under the task name when the task is in the In Review state.
This resets the status of the review from Finalized to In
Progress for all reviewers and they will also be notified via email that there
is a request to review the task again. When a review restarts, the reviewers will be able
to see what files changed since they last finalized their review.
Better Control of the Finalized Review Status
When a user marks a review task as Finalized, it remains in that
review state even when other collaborators make changes to documents within the task.
The Finalized state will change to In progress for
that particular user only if they make changes to the task documents, or if a task owner
either re-opens the task or requests a re-review of the task.
Review Status Information
The status information of a review task is presented under the task name. This
shows the number of reviewers assigned and how many total reviewers have finalized their
review. If the review is in progress, it presents a drop-down that opens a pop-up window
where you can see the list of all the reviewers and their finalized review status, as well
as some actions that make sense in the particular context (for example, an action to
request a re-review).
Integrated Review Status
Review tasks that are created from the Content Fusion add-on in Oxygen XML
Editor/Author, or as non-project tasks from the web interface, can now be marked as
Integrated when the review is closed. The tasks in the
Integrated state cannot be edited and are hidden by default, thus
enabling you to remain focused only on the tasks that you are actively working on. In the
web interface, the hidden integrated tasks can be displayed on demand.
Upload Files to a Review Task
Users can now upload files in a review task within the Content Fusion browser
interface. These files will appear in the list of files to be reviewed for the particular
task.
Reviewers Can Now Create New Files in a Review Task
Reviewers have now the ability to suggest adding new content in a review task
by creating a new file from a template. This makes it possible to create new files
directly from the Content Fusion browser interface. Previously, only task owners had this
ability.
Show Document Titles for Review Tasks Created From a Project
Content Fusion now displays the document titles instead of file names for files
included in a review task that was created from a project. This makes it easier to
identify and open a particular file. If the titles change during the review process, users
can update them in the task files list on demand (by using the Update
Titles button).
List of Review Tasks is Sortable
It is now easier to find the tasks that need your attention by sorting the
columns in the list of tasks by name, due date, or review status.
Track Task Evolution in Task Activity
The Task activity page was redesigned to make it easier to see
changes made by collaborators. You can now click on the highlighted file name for a
particular change listed in the Task activity view and it will open the two versions of
the document in a file comparison view so that you can clearly see the
differences.
Security
Improved TLS Security
The TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA384 weak cipher is no
longer accepted.
Oxygen Content Fusion 6.0 Beta introduces a lot of interesting and
substantial improvements for the online collaboration platform designed to improve the DITA
documentation review and publishing processes. Note that this is currently a
Beta version of the 6.0 release cycle, so user feedback is welcomed and
considered especially helpful as we prepare for the full release.
Some of the most interesting new features added in this version include the new
projects feature, which provides a way to manage a DITA project hosted in
a Git repository while maintaining full compatibility with your existing workflows and
tools. Authors can create review tasks inside a project and reviewers' feedback is tracked
on a dedicated branch in the Git repository. New publishing features help authors build
WebHelp or PDF outputs and the Oxygen Styles Basket has been integrated to
make it very easy to customize the output using CSS styling. Review task owners now have the
ability to close a review to give them time to address feedback. Numerous
enhancements were also made to the Content Fusion browser interface to make navigation
easier and workflows more efficient. Bug fixes and security enhancements
were also implemented, and various internal components were updated.
Projects
Manage DITA Projects Hosted in Git Repositories
The new Projects feature provides a way for authors to manage
a DITA project hosted in a Git repository. A Content Fusion project defines a connection
to the Git repository and allows the authors to create and manage review tasks within the
project, define DITA map/DITAVAL pairs (referred to as Publications in
Content Fusion), and build transformation configurations (known as
Deliverables in Content Fusion).
Compatibility with Existing Workflows and Tools
Changes made to the DITA project configuration and merged review tasks are
automatically synchronized between Content Fusion and your Git repository. This means that
you can still use the Git repository from any client application or Continuous Integration
job.
Create Review Tasks Inside Projects and Merge Changes
For tasks created within a project after closing a review, as a task owner, you
also have an action available to integrate the changes into the project's default branch
using the built-in file comparison/merge tool where you can visually spot the differences
and choose which changes to merge. All authors that have access to the project are able to
see all the review tasks created in that project.
Feedback Tracked in Git Repository
Suggestions or changes made by reviewers on a review task that is created
within a project are tracked on a dedicated branch in the Git repository. When a task is
finished, the changes are merged and pushed to the upstream remote
repository.
Publishing
Build WebHelp or PDF Deliverables
The new publishing features within projects help you configure the process for
transforming the DITA content into WebHelp or PDF outputs. A new
Publications page within Content Fusion allows you to specify the DITA
map that will be used to resolve keys in the transformed content and you can optionally
specify a DITAVAL file that will be used for filtering or flagging profiled content. Once
a publication is defined, you can use the new Deliverables page to
configure and customize the outputs that are associated with the publication. You can
build the transformations directly in Content Fusion and you can even configure automatic
build schedules. A log file can be viewed live during the build or viewed after the
processing to help debug any transformation issues.
Built-In Templates
When configuring a deliverable, you can select from a variety of built-in
templates to easily adjust the look and feel of the WebHelp or PDF output.
Oxygen Styles Basket Integration
You can duplicate and edit existing templates to customize various aspects of
the layout and style of the output. This is done through a built-in integration of the
Oxygen Styles Basket, which is a simple web-based tool that makes it
very easy to customize the output using CSS styling.
Deploy Deliverables on a Hosting Platform
Once a deliverable has been produced, you can download and deploy it on a
third-party hosting platform.
Browser Interface Enhancements
New Navigation Features
The Content Fusion browser interface was enhanced to make navigation easier and
your workflow more efficient. There are several different ways to navigate to the various
pages within the interface, depending on the current page, including readily available
actions in the top stripe and a new navigation stripe on the left side of the interface.
There is also a breadcrumb in the main area that can be used to navigate to previous
pages.
Review Task Workflow Improvements
Uninterrupted Integration of Reviewer's Feedback
During the review process, you now have the flexibility to decide which changes to
integrate back into your project undisturbed. To facilitate this workflow, we have
introduced the Close Review button. This feature enables you to lock
the task, preventing reviewers from making changes. It allows you to focus on addressing
previously received feedback and making the necessary modifications without
interruptions, ensuring a seamless integration of changes into your documentation
project. Should you require additional input or feedback, you can easily reopen the
review, making the task editable to receive further suggestions from
reviewers.

Licensing and User Roles
New Licensing Model Based on User Roles
The license for Content Fusion 6.0 covers a configurable number of user-based
licenses for Authors and predefined packages of floating licenses for
Reviewers (SME), with a different pricing structure for each.
Authors have access to projects and publishing-related features, while
Reviewers (SME) only have access to review tasks. An administrator can
configure user roles in a new Users Management tab within the
Content Fusion Enterprise Administration page according to the limits
imposed by the license key.

The support for Input Methods Editors (IME) for non-Latin languages was
improved in terms of stability and performance.
Precise Presentation for the Surround Differences in the File Comparison Tool
The file comparison tool now better identifies and presents the differences
produced by the surround edits. For example, it recognizes when a piece
of text is marked with a tag and the comparison tool will only
highlight the additional tags.
Order Block Elements With Keyboard Shortcuts
You can now easily move block elements up or down on the same hierarchical
level by using the Alt+UpArrow or Alt+DownArrow keyboard
shortcuts.
Image Maps Now Support Images Referenced Using Keyrefs

visual editing in Content Fusion and it was updated to version 24.1.0.
Some of the most important features are listed below. For more details, see:
The Concurrent Editing feature uses advanced algorithms and
data structures to synchronize changes between users in real-time. The memory overhead
incurred by this feature was reduced by 75% compared to the previous version. Furthermore,
compared to a scenario where each user edits their own copy of a document,
the Concurrent Editing sessions consume only 50% more
memory.
Tags Display Mode Switcher
A Tags Display Mode switcher was added directly in the
breadcrumb bar to make it easier to change the amount of Tags that are displayed when
exploring the document structure.
EXF Files Now Supported When Uploading Frameworks
Frameworks that are developed using framework extension files (with the
.exf extension) can now be uploaded from the
Administration page and the Web Author-based visual editor will compile
them on the fly.
Editing Content Fusion Files in Oxygen XML Editor/Author
Open Files from a Review Task
It is now very easy to open a file from a Content Fusion task in Oxygen
XML Editor/Author. You simply need to copy the file's URL from the browser and
paste it in the dialog box that is presented when using the Open URL
action from the toolbar or the File menu in Oxygen XML
Editor/Author.
Edit Context DITA Map for a Review Task
The Content Fusion Task Manager view now has an action (Open context
DITA map) in the contextual menu to open the DITA map that is specified as the

and others. It helps to increase your productivity by giving you easier access to the most
common editing and styling actions.
Copy Content and Paste as HTML
You can now copy content from documents in the visual editor and paste it into
an external application (such as a Word document or email) and the HTML structure is
preserved.
Ctrl+Click to Open Links
It is now easier to open links when editing documents in the visual editor,
simply by using the Ctrl+Click shortcut. It opens the target of the link
in a new browser tab.
Outline Pane Moved to the Right Side of the UI
The Outline pane, which displays a general tag overview of the
currently open document, was moved to the right side of the interface along with the other
useful side panes. This leaves more room for the activity stream on the left side of the
interface.
Search Performance Optimized
Find/replace operations in the visual editor are optimized for better
performance, particularly for very large documents with numerous matches.

What's New in Oxygen Content Fusion 3.0
July 3, 2020
Version 3.0 of Oxygen Content Fusion is the latest
major release for the collaboration platform that is designed to improve any documentation
review process.
Important improvements added in this version include the ability to view changes in a
side-by-side visual diff tool, better control over which collaborators have access to a
task, the possibility to download the task content as a Git repository and inspecting the
change history, an updated visual editor based on the latest version of Oxygen XML
Web Author, and more.
Review History
Each edit within a review task is now recorded. Using the link displayed in the
activity stream, you can see what changes were made by each user. The changes are
presented using a side-by-side visual comparison tool.
Inspect History Using Git Tools
A task owner now has the ability to download the contents of a task as a Git
repository and inspect the change history using Git-aware tools. Ultimately, it can be
used as a remote Git repository to integrate changes into your local copy.
Securely Assign Tasks to Specific Collaborators
You can now control exactly who has access to a review task without sacrificing
usability. You can invite collaborators who do not already have a Content Fusion account
just by entering their email address.
Redesigned Task List
The My Tasks page was redesigned with a two-column layout,
making it easier to locate and access both tasks assigned to you and tasks you
created.
Updated Oxygen XML Web Author
The visual editor that is based on Oxygen XML Web Author was updated to version
22.1.0, which contains numerous editing, performance, and security improvements. For
details, go to the What's New in
Oxygen XML Web Author 22.1.0 page.
What's New in Oxygen Content Fusion 2.0
February 12, 2020
Version 2.0 of Oxygen Content Fusion is the latest
major release for the innovative collaboration tool that is designed to improve any
documentation review process.
Some examples of improvements added in this version include the ability to create new
tasks and files directly in the Content Fusion browser interface, a DITAVAL file can now be
attached to a task so that content is filtered based upon its defined conditional profiling
attribute values, a new option is available for non-DITA file types to automatically include
files that are referenced within files attached to a task, various security improvements
were added, and more.
Content Fusion
Create a New Task Directly in the Browser Interface
It is possible to create a task directly in the Content Fusion browser
interface. This means that the task creation process is available to anyone who has access
to the browser interface, even if they do not have access to Oxygen XML
Editor/Author.
Create a New File Directly in the Browser Interface
If you are the owner of a task (any task that you created or were assigned as
an owner), you now have the ability to create a new file from a list of templates and the
newly created file will automatically be added to the current task. This means that
subject matter experts can create content drafts directly from a web browser and send them
to the Content Author to be integrated into the documentation.
Filter Content in Uploaded Files Based on a DITAVAL File
A DITAVAL file can now be attached to a task so that the content in the
uploaded DITA topics is filtered based upon the conditional profiling attribute values
defined in the DITAVAL file. If a condition set is selected in the DITA Maps Manager, the
corresponding DITAVAL file will automatically be selected in the task.
Option to Detect Files Referenced in Attached Non-DITA Files
For tasks that contain any file types other than DITA (for example, DocBook
files), an option is now available to detect any files referenced within the attached
documents and automatically upload those referenced files in the task. This means that the
Reviewers have access to the referenced content.
See Avatars for All Users Who Have the Current Document Open
The avatars for all of the users who are currently accessing a particular file
are shown in the left panel of the visual editor as well as in the Task
Details page. You can hover over an avatar to see the names of the users and
you can see which user is currently editing the file because there is a red border around
that avatar.
Configure Authentication to Accept Only LDAP Accounts
In previous versions, an admin could enable LDAP Authentication and users could
log in using their LDAP credentials or sign up using their email address. Now, the
Use LDAP Authentication option only allows LDAP credentials. However,
there is now a new option (Allow both LDAP accounts and standard email
accounts) so that users can still log in using either type.
Component Updates
Oxygen XML Web Author 22.0
The visual editor that is based on Oxygen XML Web Author was updated to version
22.0, which contains numerous editing, performance, and security
improvements.

What's New in Oxygen Content Fusion 1.1
February 22, 2019
The release of Version 1.1 of Oxygen Content Fusion
adds various new features and improvements to the innovative collaboration tool for any XML
documentation review process. Oxygen Content Fusion has a connector add-on
that comes bundled with Oxygen XML Author and Oxygen XML
Editor. To fully take advantage of all of the benefits and features, your
organization will need an Oxygen Content Fusion Enterprise Server. For more information, see
the Content Fusion website.
Some highlights of the new features and improvements in version 1.1 include the ability
to restore Content Fusion data from backup, the possibility of
upgrading your version of Content Fusion Enterprise, a new feature that
allows you to add owners to an existing task, options for
customizing term lists for the spell checker or AutoCorrect feature, and
much more.
The built-in web-based editor now benefits from an improved design, the
Review panel now has a better filtering mechanism and comment threads are rendered so that
it is easier to identify groups of comments. Also, when a DITA map is open, you have the
ability to choose from several new display modes, including a mode to display the map with
all the topic content expanded.
Content Fusion
Restore from Backup
A server administrator now has the ability to restore Content
Fusion for a backup using a simple command. For more details, see Back Up Content
Fusion Data.
Added Ability to Upgrade
There is now a supported procedure in place to upgrade the Content
Fusion Enterprise server to a new version of Content Fusion.
For more details, see Upgrading Content Fusion.
Add Custom Term Lists to the Spell Checker
You can create
personalized term lists that are used to store specialized terms (learned words)
or control forbidden words in the spell checker.
Customize Term List for the AutoCorrect Feature
The Content Fusion built-in visual editor includes an
AutoCorrect feature to automatically correct misspelled words as you type. There is a
default list of commonly misspelled words and symbols for each supported language, but you
can modify the
list to suit your specific needs.
Share Ownership of a Task
It is now possible to add additional
owners to an existing task so that more than one Content Author can manage the
task or merge the changes in Oxygen XML Editor/Author.
Google/GitHub Authentication
The server administrator can enable Google or GitHub
authentication so that users have the option to log in with those credentials when signing
in to Content Fusion.
