00:00:07In this video demonstration we will explore oXygen's capability to use media form controls.
00:00:13These form controls allow you to insert media objects such as audio and video content, as
00:00:19well as embedded browser-based resources in DITA documents.
00:00:24Suppose we have a DITA document about aeronautics and it has a section about a future quiet supersonic aircraft.
00:00:31We decided to add a video in that section,
rather than describing it in detail.
00:00:37oXygen provides a toolbar action that allows you to quickly insert media objects.
00:00:43We just position the cursor at the location
where we want to insert the video and press
00:00:48the "Insert Media" button.
00:00:51This opens a dialog box that allows you to
select and configure the media object.
00:00:57In our case, we want to insert an YouTube
video.
00:01:00So, we are interested in finding a video about NASA's quiet supersonic plane.
00:01:15Then we copy its embed code to the clipboard, so all we have to do is to paste that code in the URL field.
00:01:24Notice that oXygen automatically extracts
the link and video size, then populates the
00:01:29dialog box accordingly.
00:01:33Now the video is inserted in our document and Oxygen is able to play it directly in Author mode.
00:01:51Next, we want to publish the document to WebHelp output so we'll choose the corresponding transformation scenario.
00:02:05This is how the output looks like.
00:02:26And this concludes our demonstration.
00:02:29As always, thank you for watching.
